Summer is quite finishing and I think it’s the perfect time to look back and see what I’ve been so busy about all these months.

My main fields of work this year have been:

Fashion and sports, for a huge multinational client. This is one of my regular clients and I do for them almost everything about their web presence. So I translate advertisements, newsletters, clothing and shoes information, but I also deal with the whole Legal and Sales part of their websites (disclaimers, privacy policies, FAQs, online sales procedures etc.).

Corporate Communications: during the month of July I’ve been busy with the translation of a whole Corporate magazine of one of the biggest multinational companies in the world in the fields of Fashion, Lifestyle and Luxury. 10.000 words project.

Sports and entertainment: this has been the London Olympics and Euro 2012 year. For one of the main websites of the planet I translated lot of web pages of information, curiosities, athletes’ profiles and much more. 20.000 words project I coped with in April and May.

Sales and marketing for many fields: automotive, motorbikes, pharmaceuticals, tourism.

Transcreation of advertisements in a lot of microprojects, from Fashion to Liquors and many more.

In July I revised a whole mobile videogame.

In June I translated into Italian the website of a Greek cultural Festival, the very well known Sani Festival.

In April I translated a Politics book about China.

In January, February and March I translated a whole e-learning portal in the field of Human Resources (e-learning portal for recruiters). This was a project of more than 30.000 words.

More than this, I daily cope with tasks and projects coming from my main and most regular clients. One of them is in the field of Gaming and Betting: I keep translating for them thousands of words about almost every kind of gambling you can find online. Other of my most important client is one of the biggest companies in the Tourism and Hotel field. For them I translate and revise lot of words every month, most of them in a B2B Communications and Marketing for Tourism Industries.

So this has been my year until know. But apart from this,  I also wrote on several magazines as a journalist and I’m at the moment involved in a brand new projects which is about the world of book publishing.

I think I can say I’ve not been staying there twiddling my thumbs ;-))
